I graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in social work and a minor in music. I received my Master's degree from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. Advanced training was completed at the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program of the Institute for Psychoanalysis. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I continue to advance my knowledge and skills through training and an on-going professional study group with colleagues.
I began Stark Inch Associates, Inc. in 1999, building on skills developed from work in a children's psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center, and later in agency-based mental health services.  During my agency tenure, I was a clinical supervisor for staff and a field work instructor for graduate students in social work from the University of Chicago and the Smith College School of Social Work.
I play the organ and piano and value music as another way to connect with people. In my volunteer positions on a Day Care Board and Mayaworks (an economic development organization for Guatemalan women), I developed leadership skills and an understanding of organizations.
I graduated cum laude from Marist College with a degree in Psychology. I received my Master's degree from the Hunter College School of Social Work at the City University of New York and my doctorate from the Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago. My dissertation research addressed the experiences of men who served as foster fathers.  A LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), I continue to advance my knowledge and skills through training and professional study.

My private practice with Stark Inch Associates [SIA] and, prior with Allied Psychotherapists, Inc. has focused on adults and children 12 years of age and younger and their parents.  I have been a clinical therapist in hospital in-patient and out-patient settings, mental health agencies and social services/child welfare organizations. In addition to direct practice, I have served as staff and intern supervisor, mental health trainer, researcher and consultant.

As a swim enthusiast and swim team member, I am a great believer in the importance of exercise and building companionships in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and positive outlook on life.
